1. Man was Created Scripture is very clear on this point. The Theory of Evolution is just that - a “theory.” Man DID NOT evolve from an amoeba, he was CREATED instantan- Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth.” 27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 2. Mankind is Rebellious in Nature (described as SIN) Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us The words “all we,” and “every one,” and “us all” identifies every soul who has ever lived on earth. “All have sinned . . .” (Romans 3:23). 3. Mankind is Separated from God Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, so that He does not hear. We are hopelessly separated from God. And not only that, we will never, of our own choice, choose to do what is right and abandon our sin. Romans 3:10 There is none righteous, not even one. 4. Mankind is Unable to “Save” Himself Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God 9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purposes of God. Man is hopelessly lost and willingly disobedient to his Creator. Unless God had stepped in with His unlimited and unmerited love, we would all be condemned to the place which has been prepared for the devil and his angels. |
